Why it exists
Sharing a home means somebody keeping a running tally in their head: who paid for the big shop, whose turn the bins are, whether anyone remembered the coffee. The apps that help usually help with exactly one of those, so a household ends up with a splitting app, a list app, a group chat and a note on the fridge — and what actually breaks is not any one of them, it is that none of them knows about the others. OctoFlat is the attempt to keep all of it in one place, for the people who share the place.
It is early, and here is what that means
OctoFlat is version one. Saying so is not an apology — it is the most useful thing we can tell you before you move a household onto it, because the gaps are specific and it is better to read them here than to find them later.
The Android app is on Google Play. An iPhone app is being built and is not out yet.
The free plan is not a trial. Unlimited members, unlimited households and unlimited shopping lists stay free, and Premium is bought once per household rather than once per person.
Everything that ships is written down. The changelog is public: every release, what was new, what was fixed, and which report it closed.
