Yes, and the free plan is meant to be lived in rather than escaped from: unlimited members, unlimited households, unlimited shopping lists, plus chores, chat and the calendar. It includes one AI receipt scan a month and a soft daily cap on expenses, both of which reset on their own. Premium lifts the limits and removes the ads. The stores set the price per country, so the app shows you the figure that applies where you are.

No. Premium belongs to the household rather than to a person — one member subscribes and everyone in that household gets it, on their own phone. It works the other way round too: nobody loses access to the household’s data because somebody else’s subscription lapsed.

Good enough that correcting it is faster than typing the receipt out. It reads the line items along with tax, tip and fees, you tick who had what, and the result is a split expense with the photo attached. When it misreads a line you edit that line — it does not make you start again.

Only the members of the household it belongs to. Households are completely separate from one another, so being in three of them leaks nothing between them. Receipt photos and contract documents are stored with that household’s data and are visible to its members on every device. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.

Settle the balance first — OctoFlat tells you exactly what it is, per person and per currency — and then remove them from the household. The history stays intact, including the expenses they were part of, so the record does not develop a hole where somebody used to be.

The Android app keeps your households cached on the device, so the shopping list opens in a shop with no signal and expenses are browsable on the underground. Anything you change syncs when you are back.
